Pest Infestation - Residential
26 Payson Ave, Dorchester, Ma, 02125Rats are feeding in the trash at 26 Payson Avenue and neighbors are seeing multiple rats on the street. My lot at 20 Payson Avenue is baited around the perimeter of my garden shed and along the boundary fence, but I am seeing rat trails and evidence of burrowing. There is no food source there on at 22 Payson Avenue, but as long as they have food at 26 Payson, they are not eating my bait. Neighbors have spoken to the tenants at 26 Payson and at least one of the tenants spoke to the landlord, whose response was to tell him to place the trash out of sight of the neighbors. According to the tenant, the trash cans at 26 Payson have rat holes and he sees rats whenever he goes near the trash area.

75 Saint Alphonsus St, Mission Hill, Ma, 02120Rodent, Pest, Sanitation, and Public Health Concern Report Property: JVUE at LMA Address: 75 Saint Alphonsus Street, Boston, MA 02120 Date: July 4, 2026 Request for Inspection of Rodent Infestation, Pest Activity, Unsanitary Conditions, and Public Health Concerns I am submitting this report to request an inspection of ongoing rodent and pest issues, persistent foul odors, and unsanitary conditions at JVUE at LMA, located at 75 Saint Alphonsus Street, Boston, MA. These conditions have become a recurring concern and may pose risks to the health, safety, and well-being of residents. Observed Conditions Residents have observed and experienced the following: Repeated sightings of mice and/or rats in residential units and common areas. Rodent droppings and evidence suggesting rodents are entering apartments through gaps, utility penetrations, or other openings. Recurring insect and other pest activity within apartments and common areas. Persistent foul or sewage-like odors in hallways and other shared spaces that remain for extended periods. Poor overall sanitation and hygiene in certain common areas, including conditions that may contribute to pest activity or create an unhealthy living environment. Concerns that these issues continue despite previous maintenance or pest-control efforts. Public Health Concerns The combination of rodent activity, pests, persistent unpleasant odors, and poor sanitation has created conditions that residents believe may present a public health concern. These conditions raise concerns about: Potential exposure to bacteria, viruses, allergens, and other contaminants associated with rodents and pests. Food contamination and damage to personal property. Respiratory irritation or other health effects associated with persistent foul odors and unsanitary conditions. Ongoing stress and anxiety related to living in an environment perceived as unclean or unhealthy. The possibility that underlying sanitation or maintenance deficiencies are contributing to recurring infestations and odors. Request for Inspection I respectfully request that the City of Boston conduct a thorough inspection of the property to determine whether it complies with applicable housing, sanitation, and public health requirements. Specifically, I request: A comprehensive inspection of residential units, common areas, trash collection areas, and the exterior of the property. An assessment of rodent and pest activity, including identification of entry points and conditions supporting infestation. An evaluation of the source of persistent foul odors and any sanitation deficiencies contributing to these conditions. A review of the property's housekeeping, waste management, and pest-control practices. Any corrective actions or enforcement measures necessary to eliminate the infestation, address sanitation concerns, and restore safe and healthy living conditions. Follow-up inspections, if appropriate, to verify that corrective actions have been completed and that the conditions have been effectively resolved. These issues affect the quality of life of residents and warrant prompt attention to help ensure that the property provides a safe, sanitary, and healthy living environment. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, JVUE at LMA Resident

Pest Infestation - Residential
8 Seymour St, Roslindale, Ma, 02131Rat infestation. Trash and food waste is strewn about on the ground in driveway. Again. This property has repeatedly shown poor trash hygiene for multiple consecutive years. The rat problem that started 3 years ago on this property has reoccurred for the third time due to repeated poor trash hygiene. The rats of course come onto abutters’ properties and cause dangerous conditions for the young children who live at abutting properties.

Pest Infestation - Residential
88 90 George St, Roxbury, Ma, 02119I am requesting an urgent housing inspection for a recently occupied rental unit due to severe rodent infestation and unsanitary conditions that appear to violate the Massachusetts State Sanitary Code and pose a health risk to occupants. We moved into the unit 4 days ago and immediately discovered extensive evidence of rodent activity inside the structure and inside appliances, including: Rodent droppings and contamination inside the oven broiler compartment Insulation and debris inside the dishwasher, indicating rodent nesting or intrusion Strong urine-like odor when appliances are running Holes and entry points in baseboards and attic areas suggesting active rodent access into the unit Multiple rat traps already placed throughout the home prior to or at move-in Visible signs of infestation inside the dwelling, not limited to exterior areas A dead rat found on the property at move-in Large fly infestation inside the unit These conditions indicate an active and ongoing infestation inside the structure and food preparation areas. The unit is currently occupied by three children, including an infant and a toddler, which raises immediate health and safety concerns. We are requesting an urgent inspection and enforcement action, as the conditions appear to render the unit potentially uninhabitable without immediate professional remediation, sealing of entry points, and sanitation of contaminated areas. We are documenting all evidence and requesting written inspection findings and violations issued to the landlord.
