Illegal Parking
1250 Washington St, Roxbury, Ma, 02118June 26, 2026 – 2:46 a.m. Seven vehicles have been illegally parked for hours in the bus and bike lane outside Alex Pizza, located at 1252 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02118. Loud music from the vehicles and people gathered outside woke me up from sleep and continues to disturb the neighborhood. This is not an isolated incident. Earlier today, I submitted Report #101006709929, documenting a nearly identical scene at this location. As shown in the photos attached to that report, a Boston police officer was repeatedly entering and exiting Alex Pizza while the illegally parked vehicles remained in place, and no enforcement action appeared to be taken. Given the repeated nature of these violations and the apparent lack of enforcement, I am requesting increased police oversight and consistent day time and late-night enforcement at this location. The illegally parked vehicles continue to block the bus and bike lane, forcing buses, cyclists, and other motorists into moving traffic and creating an ongoing public safety hazard. Please dispatch parking enforcement and police to address the illegal parking, excessive noise, and recurring public safety concerns.

Illegal Parking
1250 Washington St, Roxbury, Ma, 02118Thursday, June 25, 2026, at approximately 4:48 p.m., three vehicles are illegally parked in the bus and bike lane in front of Alex Pizza, located at 1254 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02118. As shown in the attached photos, the illegally parked vehicles forced both buses and bicyclists to merge into oncoming traffic, creating a significant safety hazard for all road users. The second photo shows a Boston Police officer outside Alex Pizza while the vehicles remained illegally parked in the bus and bike lane. The officer appeared to take notice of the illegally parked vehicles while entering and exiting the restaurant, yet no enforcement action was taken. This sends the message that these ongoing violations are being overlooked despite occurring in plain view of law enforcement. This continues to be part of a recurring pattern at this location, where illegal parking regularly obstructs the bus and bike lane and creates dangerous conditions for cyclists, MBTA buses, and now other motorists. I respectfully request increased enforcement at this location to ensure compliance with parking regulations and improve public safety.

Illegal Parking
230 Western Ave, Allston, Ma, 02134The Water and Sewer Commission van with license plate M-5843 was parked illegally in the eastbound bike lane directly in front of 230 Western Ave. this morning (Thursday, June 25) at approximately 10:35 a.m. There was at least one person in the van, and the driver's door window was mostly down, as I was preparing to turn down South Campus Drive. Unfortunately, I didn't get a good look at the driver or a photo of the situation. I expect uninformed public drivers to block bike lanes, but a City of Boston employee should know better.

Illegally Blocked Sidewalk
48-50 Newmarket Sq, Boston, MA 02118Tractor trailers at loading dock are not actually moving to perform Commerce. They are parked there as just permanent storage units. It is blocking the bike lane and creating a dangerous scenario for bikes and pedestrians to go around these trailers into traffic given they are on a blind curve. Please do not dismiss this because it’s a light industrial district tractor trailers come and go here all the time but these have not moved in years. This is a very different scenario.
