Several vehicles are illegally parked in a no stopping any time tow zone. Fire hydrant is blocked. Many repeat offenders.

The contractors who work for MassDOT on these exhaust vents seem to be having a hard time finding where to park their PERSONAL VEHICLES. Could the city’s parking attendants please let them know parking on sidewalks is illegal and they need to either take public transit or pay for parking like everyone else. They are blocking the entire pedestrian zones. They better not even think about doing that when they come into Chinatown. Zero tolerance for illegal parking.

I believe this issue could be urgent. I am a structural engineer and a building inspector, and I happen to park in the 200 Stewart Street garage several days a week for law school across the street. I noticed this right away, but I waited a couple of weeks And finally submitting this because I am very concerned. As soon as you drive into the garage, you will see one of the locations of many. There appears to be significant structural deterioration. Spalling concrete, rusty steel plates, and cracking. There are lally columns installed in many locations on every single floor throughout the entire structure. I took 12 photos this morning, but that is only the tip of the iceberg. Some of the lally columns look unstable in are shimmed. I am submitting a very small sampling of photos here. It only allows me to submit three. Please note that there are many more locations that I could not even capture half of them. I am hoping that ISD knows about this, but felt obligated to report it because I think it is important that someone take a look very soon. Thank you for your time.

This should not be allowed with no permits blocking numerous spots with construction items. They should have to pay to get permits to block spots and they haven’t. They left their dump truck here over night and now this. Something needs to happen and BPD drives by and does absolutely nothing every single time. There is already no parking around here and now this it’s not right.
