The sidewalk in front of my home at 84 Buchanan Road (02132) is uneven and broken in various places. It has created an unsafe dynamic where water pools very quickly (and in the winter turns into slippery ice) right at the beginning of the walkway to the home. A prior request had been made under case number 101006441051, but was closed due to not having pictures. This request is the resubmission of that one and now includes pictures. The tree pictured near the side walk was struck by a moving truck today and will apparently need to be removed or replaced. This tree may have been causing some of the issues, so it could be an opportune time to fix the sidewalk issue in parallel. I am also planning to replace the walkway, so it would be fantastic to do a comprehensive update that is coordinated with the city if possible.

He received a notice on his car that he needed to move. The constituent states that there was no notice on a pole or fence to notify residents on the construction project. The constituent spoke with a PW workers and they stated that they needed a 48 hrs notice posted. The constituent states PW only gave a 24 hrs notice but it was last minute. The constituent would like the dept of PW to ensure that the residents get the full amount of time for construction work to residents. Neighbors dog outside and barking non-stop for 20+ minutes. Dog started barking at 8:35 am and has continued to bark since this was submitted at 8:55 am. The dog was barking to be let inside for the majority of the time. This is disruptive to my work who often can hear the dog in the background. This is a constant issue and this neighbor is not receptive to any neighbors concerns. Dog is waiting at back door barking in photo, behind the chair.

Repeated late-night construction debris pickup that has been occurring at a site near my home, including tonight after 10:00 p.m. The activity is extremely loud. Workers are throwing construction waste into trucks or dumpsters, causing repeated crashing and banging noises late at night. This has been happening nightly and has made it very difficult to rest. There appears to be little to no effort to reduce the noise or conduct the work in a reasonable manner. My understanding is that construction activity outside normal hours requires approval. Could you please confirm whether there is an active off-hours permit for this site, and if so, what activity and hours were authorized? If no such permit exists, I would appreciate prompt enforcement action. Details: • Location: Canal St. And Valenti Way • Date/time observed: 4/5 and inward nightly past 10pm • Nature of activity: loud construction waste/debris pickup, materials being thrown into truck/dumpster • Frequency: nightly / repeated occurrences • Impact: significant nighttime noise disturbance after 10:00 p.m. Please let me know: 1. Whether an off-hours permit has been issued for this work, 2. Why this activity is being allowed at this hour, 3. What enforcement or corrective action can be taken, and 4. These dogs, bark chronically and nonstop, sometimes for hours at a time. I’ve made one previous report and I’m not sure the outcome, but the owner seems to leave the dogs outside in all weather. I’ve taken video of them barking, and I’m happy to supply it, but I also realize the verbal report may be enough.
