Pest Infestation - Residential
54 56 Brooks St, East Boston, Ma, 02128There has been a serious and ongoing trash accumulation and rodent infestation problem coming from the backyards of two neighboring buildings 52 and 54 Brooks St - East Boston. For the past 2–3 years, the owners have not taken consistent action to clean or control the issue. Trash, old furniture, and debris continue to pile up, attracting large numbers of mice and rats. This situation now affects surrounding buildings, including ours, and poses a health and safety risk for families with children and pets. The problem has been reported multiple times, but no visible action has been taken. Please have an inspector assess the properties and take enforcement action as soon as possible. I can provide photos if needed. Contacts for the properties: • 54 Brooks St: keith@brookproperty.com • 52 Brooks St: (781) 851-4004
CLOSED #101006330497Noted. A citation was issued at this location for the improper storage of all the trash on the ground as well as the mattress being stored improperly, and noted that this property needed to be cleaned up immediately or citations would continue to be issued!

Pest Infestation - Residential
618 Columbus Ave, Roxbury, Ma, 02118I am from the property management company that manages the buildings next door. We have been working with pest control extensively to control the rats in the back of the building for months and are working with multiple Boards together to comprise a plan for hardscaping the area. Each week pest control sends a report that states "There's a large mattress leaning up against the fence just outside of the gate behind the neighboring building. Rats are burrowing under this mattress and living inside the mattress. Recommend reaching out to management of neighboring property to have this mattress removed and discarded." The Board attempted to find out who the management company is, but was unable. | Move in date: [07/11/2025] Owner's name and contact info: [Unknown] Occupants name and contact info: [Unknown] Type of insect or rodent: [Rats]

Pest Infestation - Residential
318 Summit Ave, Brighton, Ma, 02135Hello. I have been a tenant of 318 Summit Avenue, 02135 since June of last year. Although I will be moving out soon, I am incredibly concerned about pests in the building. There is strong evidence of rats in the basement. It often smells of pee and one of the storage units has a very soiled mattress covered in rat droppings. There are signs from 2021 stating that due to rats in the building, garbage bins were moved outside. The trash bins outside are not well maintained, and rats are often visible at any time of day. At night during warm months they can be very clearly heard. I have personally run into rats almost every time I have taken the trash out. I have not seen any inside my apartment, but a blanket I left on the second floor fire escape now has rat poop on it. They are a real issue living here and I do not think the management is doing nearly enough to reduce or control the problem. I understand that rats will exist in ubran settings, but they should not be freely living beside us to this degree. 6178930860
