cc to PWD There is a rotting and dangerous steel sewer cover in front of #77 Bourne St., Jamaica Plain, that has been there for years. For 5 years. we have called and written to 311 and we have notified BWSC several times. For a while someone put out a dilapidated danger sign that blocked the sidewalk and makes people with baby carriages have to detour into the main thoroughfare of Bourne Street. Last year, in a different dangerous spot two doors down on our street, a neighbor fell and broke her elbow. We do not want to wait until another accident like this or worse happens! We understand that this may be a jurisdictional issue between BWS and DPW. PLEASE get with BWS to resolve this situation and give us the courtesy of a reply to this email. | BWSC has reported back for years that this sidewalk extension plate belongs to public works. When gas pipes were replaced last summer ,contractor let dirt get in to street drain. Now rats can’t get in so they are borrowing in my yard. Drain is in front of 181 Hillside st. Roxbury Ma 02120 |
