Const. states they used their SNAP card as they had at many other places to get a salad from the salad bar at Lamberts, states they charge the salad the the SNAP card as normal but also calculate tax on that manually with a calculator and charge an extra percentage of cash. Bought item and it was returned and still no refund since May 18th. Constituent reported that he went by the gas station to purchase cigarettes and soda. The constituent stated that after receiving his receipt he saw that he was charged for gas and a soda instead. The constituent believes that the business is trying to avoid the tax charges. The Constituent was charged for 11.36 gallons of gas and a soda. The constituent's card was charged $34.50 but the printed receipt had a total of $41.25. The constituent went into the store and saw a deal for 2 for a dollar lays chips. When she got to the register they charged her 1.18 and told her its because she has to buy the same flavor. She believes this is not the case and no other store does this. Constituent reporting convenience store that is overcharging. Constitent states they tried to pay for items and the total came out to $24.57, the worker said the payment didn't go through and printed a receipt that showed ~$31. Constituent paid again and then later noticed that there was no more money in her account - she was overcharged. This establishment is illegally charging customers a fee to use credit cards. My total was $24.61 (for two gyros) on the cash register but the woman charged $25.59 to my credit card without telling me! |
