I own the garden unit in 18 Hanson Street which is next to Ringgold Park. The sand at the playground was recently replaced with a rubber/plastic surface. Last night was the first rain storm since the artificial surface was installed and it caused our basement to flood. The rain water cannot drain through the artificial surface and to make matters worse, the surface appears to pitch towards our home. Hello, My name is Brook and I am a resident of the city of Boston residing currently in Mattapan. A large group of freinds and I convene about four times a week at Roberts Playground in Dorchester next to the High School to play soccer in the evenings after work and I have noticed that the lights shut off at different times every night. As a resident and taxpayer I would like to ask on behalf of the group that I play with if we could arrange a set time with whoever maintains that field that the lights could shut off later at around 10 pm. For example last night the lights turned off at 8:30 p.m. the evening before the lights turned off at 9:20 p.m. and then back on at approx 9:40 p.m. We are typically not the only group of people using the field for sports at that time either, therefore, as a taxpayer/resident and after hearing oponions from other community members it would be beneficial for all to be able to use the fields until 10 p.m. I hope some form of communication can be made to resolve this issue, please feel free to email me at anytime with any information in order to reach the groundskeeper or explanation of what time the lights are supposed to stay on until since we all work we dont usually get to meet until about 7:30 - 8:00 pm which is why this has become an issue. Over half the lights at the basketball court are out/dark. One side of lights are completely out/dark, do not light at all. Two of the six lights on the other side are out/dark. | SR Area: [Trades]

constituent is reporting that the mulch in the playground needs to be redone and the padding is worn down; constituent wants someone to go out and look at it and also is requesting the padding on the playground be re-done as per Mr. Connolly's comments |

The sprinkler pool has been off since 7.22.13 (at least) It may be due to a mechanical problem since I saw an orange cone in the pool.
