Address 12 cook front of house is Cook st side and yard are on Sheafe st. Case no 101006497797 early in the morning of 2/6 the city snowcats dumped a mountain of snow against my fence on Sheafe st at around 8 pm on 2/6 I discovered the mountain against my fence I called 311 to report it and to request that the snow be removed and was assigned above case no. The next day on 2/7 at around 3 pm the snow had not been removed so I called 311 again to be told that the city was very busy with snow removal and assured me that that city would eventually get to it and was assigned second case no 101006498338. The snow was never removed. Then we got another 2ft of snow. Today 2/25 at about 11 am the snowcat driver was attempting to dump snow there again I told him not to put any more against my fence. He proceeded to dump it in other spots. I Immediately called the city again case no 101006522615 to report the snow dumping and to request that no more snow is dumped there and although there is now 2 more ft of snow I still want it removed. When I put the complaint in today2/25 the operator informed me that the original case 101006<truncated>

Harriet St in Brighton still needs to be plowed down to pavement - it is difficult to maneuver out of driveways now that parking ban is lifted. Submitted respectfully with knowledge that the City is responding to many similar such requests at this time! Thank you! |

The even (east-bound) side of Commonwealth Ave from near 1940-1950 all the way to the Evergreen Cemetery was never fully plowed after the first January snow storm, and remains only partially plowed after the more recent blizzard. Since January, cars have been parking directly in the right-hand travel lane for weeks now, reducing this part of east-bound Comm Ave to a de facto one lane highway. This creates especially hazardous traffic conditions for cars, cyclists, and pedestrians alike. (These hazards are compounded by the constant double-parking in the area, and the fact that car drivers speed with impunity all the time on this stretch -- this part of Comm Ave is due for a road diet to slow these cars down, and needs a dedicated bike lane too, but that's another story...) Pedestrian and commuter access to the Green Line stop and crosswalks at South Street is particularly difficult in these conditions. And, I also worry for the safety of the people who use the handicap spaces on this stretch, who have been forced to park in the middle of an active traffic lane. Please ticket and tow the cars currently parked in the travel lane (as should have been done weeks ago), and use the resulting empty space to plow to the curb. The odd (west-bound) side was fully plowed to the curb weeks ago using this exact process, why not the same on the even (east-bound) side?

Location: Corner of Stanbro St & Meadowview St, Hyde Park Address Affected: 63 Stanbro St, Hyde Park The ADA-accessible curb ramp at the corner of Stanbro Street and Meadowview Street has been completely plowed in and is inaccessible, which is an ADA compliance violation. In addition, a large snowbank was created directly in front of my home at 63 Stanbro Street, extending approximately three feet into the roadway and standing an estimated three to four feet high. This creates a serious public safety concern. I have a medically complex child, and in the event of an emergency, ambulances and fire apparatus must be able to pull directly up to my home for immediate access. The current conditions could significantly delay or prevent emergency response. The snow must be removed from the roadway in front of my residence or fully pushed to the end of the dead-end street. There were no vehicles present during plowing, and adequate space was available at the time. Councilor Peppin’s office has already forwarded this issue to Public Works as urgent. As of tonight, no corrective action has been taken. Immediate attention is required due to ADA and emergency access concerns.

Every time it snows at Brighton Marine (77 Warren St) they use a truck all night including during the city’s quiet hours from 2300-0700 to clean snow out of their parking lot. The truck has a back up alarm and beeps most of the time making it impossible to sleep. This occurred last storm for about one night but as they are currently doing it, this will be the 3rd night in a row. The front door entry to the building is fully electronic and it continues to jam on a near daily basis. when it jams, residents are completely locked out with no alternative access until another resident comes and lets them inside. Complaints have been made and nothing has been done. Getting stuck outside with our pet in the blizzard yesterday was the last straw. We will be reporting every time we get locked out moving forward.

Snow in lane of street and onto ramp outside of residential property The Metlo located at 399 Congress street. Snow was not cleared in roadway during the last storm so we want to ensure it is cleared this time around.

Snow plowing needed on Bennett and Leicester streets in Brighton. There is still a significant amount of snow on these streets and cars are having a difficult time driving through.
