I have had an leak in my bathroom ceiling since June 2025. I have called in four different work orders with Boston housing authority however they continue to close out the work order without completing the work. The leak started as a drip, now it’s a hole, in close proximity to electrical wires and a light fixture. It has since advanced since June and is now rusted, has black mold, and gnats/drain flies. BHA continues to avoid my attempts for contact for this, maintenance supervisor Kenneth refuses to call me back or send someone out, but yet he told me he considers this an emergency in previous conversation. Monique Goodman is one of the lead supervisors in the BHA Mildred Healy office, and she is somewhat aware of the issue and supposedly sent an email to someone to get this resolved but I am still waiting. I fear the ceiling is going to collapse on me while I’m showering or bathing my children. BHA also requests to come into my unit nonchalantly for other things like inspection, which I allowed and they promised the repair on 12/3- however on 12/3 they closed out the work order and I had to have a fourth one reopened for the same thing. I really just want them to come and fix it. They charge so much money and the apartment isn’t even worth that much rent money, with repairs needed. I’ve also lost wages due to sitting home on 12/3 waiting for a repairman who never came to complete the work. Cedar Street in Charlestown is a one way street from High Street to Bartlett Street. However, cars exiting driveways and parking lots at the Barlett Street end of Cedar street routinely go the wrong way up Cedar Street to Laurel Street. This is usually early in the morning when children are going to school or people are running. There have been many near collisions with cars and pedestrians. Someone is going to get injured or killed. These drivers have been warned, but they are in a rush to work and cannot be bothered by safety. I believe that a prominent sign indicating that it is a one way is necessary.

Please send someone to take this truck or tow it. It’s been parked here for weeks. It’s on the sidewalk large trucks. Can’t get down the street. Please send BTD supervisor.
