This pin oak is under severe duress but the main branch and a couple of others I checked are green under the bark. Great opportunity to partner with Ellis Memorial and have the kids bring it back to health—make the kids Junior Tree Wardens: give them little trowels to aerate and feed. Teach them about mulch donuts. And have them start a bucket brigade to keep tree healthy during summer!
