On Beacon Street along Boston Common headed east between Charles Street and Spruce Street there are "No Parking 7a-6p M-F" signs that have been there forever because of outdated traffic counts that suggest two east bound lanes are necessary on Beacon. For at least a decade there is no more traffic on Beacon on weekdays than on weekends (when parking is allowed for anyone and everyone during the day). These spaces tend to be occupied by contractors so its not like there are ever two lanes these days. The 20 or so spaces should be metered for tourists, visitors and residents during the daytime hours. The BHCA is in support.
