Attn: Dennis Varley, Chief of Stations Ongoing Issue – Back Bay Station An individual is regularly present in the commuter rail lobby for extended periods (hours) without apparent travel activity, occupying seats and engaging in behavior affecting sanitation, passenger comfort, and station operations. The individual has been observed searching through trash receptacles and consuming items retrieved from them. This ongoing issue also contributes to additional non-transit use of the station by others, including extended loitering, sleeping in the commuter rail lobby, and personal activities in the restrooms. Request consistent enforcement of MBTA station rules regarding non-transit use of station facilities to maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment for passengers.
