Scooter, no license plate, illegally parked on sidewalk. A car with no plates on city streets would be illegal and impounded - can we please do the same here?

I just genuinely don’t understand what is helpful about having a cop parked at every point in the main intersection. There is construction on a bridge, which is clearly the impetus, but theres one parked with lights on surrounding the centre street / belgrade intersection, doing nothing, on their phones, while theres broken glass on the sidewalk and people running through red lights. Theres a cop detouring traffic on beech street coming from West Roxbury Parkway, for no discernible reason? Maybe because the construction on the building makes it hard to see traffic coming as you merge onto Belgrade Ave, but thats been the case for months and nothing had been done about it. Seems like taxpayer money is just being wasted for cops to sit with lights on on their phones and do nothing. Really shameful and gross. I support cops but this is a waste of funds and time and energy. Map feature isn’t working. Centre street / Belgrade Ave / Beech Street / West Roxbury Parkway is where i’m referring to. Also despite the parking ban and literally atleast 6 cop cars in view with lights on parked and doing nothing no cars have been towed or ticketed. Maybe all this show is for an ice operation. Who knows. I have so little trust in BPD.
