Needles and trash in parking area behind 684 Mass Ave.

Someone put a mattress and mattress pad out after trash day and it’s blocking a majority of the sidewalk and into the street. It’s been there since Wednesday and it’s Saturday. It’s an eye sore and inconvenient walking into the street and into parked cars because the sidewalk is blocked.

Trash has been here for over a week.

The backfilled former meter pit/utility casting at this location has failed again. Prior case #101006618829 was marked resolved, but the repair did not hold. The temporary asphalt is breaking apart, the area is settling, and the adjacent sidewalk slabs are cracking and becoming unstable. This is a recurring failed restoration issue, not ordinary wear. Middle Street is currently being resurfaced. I am not asking to stop the entire project, but this failed backfill/utility restoration should be inspected and corrected before resurfacing closeout so the defect is not left unresolved and the sidewalk damage does not worsen. Please repair the failed backfill/utility restoration and repair or replace the affected sidewalk slabs.

Geese with a big lump( on the chest, wing and leg) and can barely move has been seen in that area for the past few days.
