Rafael Landscaping leaf blowers incredibly loud. Saturday May 30 near Cleveland, Braintree, Beaver St area of Hyde Park. Are these companies required to stay under decibel limit? Are there any ways to enforce some quiet times in neighborhoods?

Unfortunately, as "light residential outdoor equipment" they are not subject to the Air Pollution Control Commission noise regulations. You may suggest several things to the constituents when they call: 1. Approach his/her neighborhood association about setting neighborhood standards for yard equipment use and/or the type that should be used (e.g. electric leaf blowers, which are considerably less loud). 2. Consult with his/her neighborhood services coordinator who can be found at https://www.boston.gov/departments/neighborhood-services. 3. Talk with your local Community Services Police Officer.

Replacement tree request. The tree is severely overhanging the street and appears to present a significant safety hazard. Large branches extend over the roadway and toward nearby residences. Given the tree's size and condition, there is concern that falling limbs or a tree failure could cause substantial damage to homes, vehicles, utility lines, and potentially result in serious injury to occupants or pedestrians. The risk is particularly concerning during storms, high winds, or other severe weather events.
